Ingredients
  • 2 cups shredded peeled potatoes(450 g)
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided (150 g)
  • 1 tsp. salt, divided (5 g)
  • 4 eggs
  • ½ cup milk (120 ml)
  • 1 cup chopped fully cooked ham
  • ½ cup chopped onion (150 g)
  • ½ tsp. pepper (2.5 g)
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, combine shredded potatoes with ½ cup cheese and ½ teaspoon salt, and then mix thoroughly.
  2. Pour potato mixture into a greased 9-inches pie plate, and then press to make sure all edges of the pie plate are filled with the mixture.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs and milk, and mix the ham, onion, pepper and remaining cheese and salt.
  4. Pour this egg mixture into the pie plate with potato crust. (Pie will be very full).
  5. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45- 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  6. Let it cool for 5 minutes, and then slice into triangular pieces.
  7. Serve potato pie and enjoy!
